Cam Design ProgramsD47CAM - D57CAMUser Guide
These two programs mathematically combine polynomials and circular arcs. If you need to design roller follower cam events which have short durations and high lifts, the advantage of D47CAM (or D57CAM) is that negative radii of curvature will not occur. Because of manufacturing difficulty, negative radius cams can be a problem with pure polynomial cam designs. For performance applications with roller lifters, D47CAM can optimize your cam designs. All input values can be changed with a mouse pointer and re-run in real time. All input data can be saved to a file for future reference. D47CAM generates translating roller follower cam data. Recalculation and redraw on a DOS PC (386 or higher) is less than 3 seconds.
