Cam Design ProgramsCV4CAM - CV5CAMCV4CAM and CV5CAM are special cases of polynomial cam design technique for flat translating followers. The maximum cam velocity can be set to a limit so that the cam-lifter contact point will not exceed the diameter of a given size lifter. Maximum velocity can often be reduced by as much as 10%. Cams can then be designed to "fit" on lifters which might otherwise be too small in diameter. This program is available in 4 or 5 exponent versions. All input values can be changed with a mouse pointer and rerun in real time. All input data can be saved to a file for future reference. CV4CAM and CV5CAM generate translating flat follower cam data. Recalculation and redraw on a DOS PC (386, 486 or Pentium) is less than 3 seconds. |
