finish cam lobe grinding: All cores are made from bearing quality 8620 steel
unless otherwise noted. All distributor gears are hobbed to high accuracy on
machines in our gear shop. Heat treatment of cam cores is then done
according to Andrews' stringent specifications with full certification.

Camshaft cores can be supplied after any stage of completion: as bar stock
slugs, turned spools,
with gear teeth, heat treating, bearing grinding and also complete with
finished ground cam lobes.
Special cam blanks (reverse rotation, 180 firing order, etc.) can be
quoted as custom items.
